Not only does she get to relax the rest of the month but she doesn’t have to bring any food to the next meeting! Whoo whoo Anna! You go girl! Ladies you better start reading because I know you do not want to be the last one to finish. Anna said she enjoyed the book. So let’s keep on reading ladies!
“…it takes a different form, that’s all. You can’t see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it.”
“Life has to end. Love doesn’t.”
In your opinion, what was Albom suggesting in this chapter?
How did you feel? Did it make you think of someone? Even if you do not have someone, I am sure it made you think of someone or some point in your life. Maybe someone who made you happy. Through the good and bad. They still made you feel loved.
When Eddie asked Marguerite to change to how she looked in the end, and she did, Eddie thought she was “as beautiful as ever”.
They danced, he smiled, she smiled. He closed his eyes. He stated he didn’t want to go, he wanted to stay there.
Then she disappeared.
“Forgive Edward. Forgive. Do you remember the lightness you felt when you first arrived in heaven?”
Eddie did. He asked what happened to his pain.
“That’ because no one is born with anger. And when we die, the soul is freed of it. But now, here, in order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did, and why you no longer need to feel it.”
She touched his hand.
“You need to forgive your father.”
Our book has a movie! We have to definitely watch it at our meeting !
