Love in the time of cholera

“Each man is master of his own death, and all that we can do when the time comes is to help him die without fear of pain”.

That alone was a very powerful message. Do you believe that people in this day in age depend in to many medications to live, survive, tolerate?

NYPD RED Chapters 60-69 by Marissa

Lexi..Lexi…Lexi….I couldn’t believe what I was reading when she actually shot Trager and Muhlenberg. Then I knew she was going to get killed herself because come on lets be honest that was not a smart idea. Why do you think Lexi took it among herself to shoot Trager and Muhlenberg?? Do you think it was simply because she was blinded by love or do you think that Lexi knew inside one way or another she wouldn’t make it out alive in the end??

Moving on to the other chapters:
What affect do you feel that Lexi’s death played on Gabriel and his next killings? His next killing was at the precent when he went in and killed Mr. Peltz. Quite a bold move if you ask me. How did these chapters in the book make you feel?

Gabe and Lexi have just killed Jimmy Fitzhugh (that name is ridiculous) and they’ve made it back to the apartment. Since Lexi froze up during her scene, she feels like Gabe might leave her. He’s mad, which is to be expected, but we also see how much she really means to him. We also get a glimpse into Lexi’s past and see that she seems mentally unstable. I truly feel like these two crazies were made for each other.

So instead of stealing $30,000 like they planned…they got $45,000! What will they do with the extra money? Since they can’t afford syrup or fruit…I would have assumed they would use the extra money to buy better food but they had other plans. They’re going to use the extra $15,000 to make a bigger explosion for their finale. I don’t know…they must be crazy because food is so much better than explosives.

Moving on, we learn that Fitzhugh not only bought choke for Levinson, but he also did choke for Monte. Monte sounds like he could be upset that all of his money in the safe was just stolen…so maybe he’ll go after Gabe himself? That could be interesting.

The cops seem to be zeroing in on the couple since Lexi’s big mess up. They know two people robbed Fitzhugh, they are interested in Gabriel, and they know he spent time in a loony bin. Hopefully they’ll find the chameleon and his helpers before they blow up the city’s biggest stars.
